  • Artist Statement

My art is focused on my individual experience of being queer and transgender, capturing the essences of my identity as well as feelings of deep love for those around me. I have been a lifelong artist, working in different media over the years such as crochet, knitting, drawing, painting, and printmaking. I began knitting in 2009, my craft evolving over the years until intersecting with my love for visual art in late 2019. Using the technique of double knitting, I create works of art that give off a sense of comfort and warmth, contributing to my themes of love, wonder, and connection with others.

  • Bio

I’m a 23 year old artist living and working in Michigan. My fiber art career began in elementary school when I would crochet and sell pencil cases to my class mates, and I’ve been interested in selling my work since. I have a BA in Art History with a minor in German from Central Michigan University. This is where I began printmaking, and have fallen in love with it. I hope to continue to solidify my artistic voice and dedicate as much time as I can creating things I love.
